underground-mining-ventilation-air

Ventilation in an underground mine is of critical importance to the occupational health and safety of underground employees.

The atmosphere underground is limited and confined and is thus readily reduced to dangerous condition if contaminants (e.g. gases, dusts, fumes) produced in the course of operations are not controlled, safely extracted or diluted to acceptable levels.

Underground mine ventilation using the SolarVenti Pro system provides a flow of air to the underground workings of a mine of sufficient volume to dilute and remove dust and noxious gases (typically NOx, SO2, methane, CO2 and CO) and to regulate temperature.

Clearance of gases, Underground Air Quality

The SolarVenti filters out the airborne particles from natural air before pushing the purified air through the underground mine using positive airflow. This then pushes out the old, stale, dirty air out through vents, leaving a mine with a much better air quality for its workers.

Drying the air and removing humidity

Moisture has been known to influence strata failures in coal mines for a long time.

Not only does the SolarVenti remove airborne toxins and dust, but it also removes humidity and moisture content from the air. Creating a safer mine environment.

The results of a recent study identified humidity to contribute more to thermal discomfort than other comfort measures. My managing humidity with SolarVenti Pro, it will significantly help in managing heat stress issues in underground mines and thus improve productivity, safety, and health.

No electricity, non-explosive

Since the SolarVenti is 100% solar powered, it removes risks of the sparks and electricity in mining sites.
